This project will retrofit the existing Round Elementary Pond by providing dam and pond grading improvements, a new drop inlet spillway, and improved maintenance features. This project will also address the need for additional conveyance capacity under Godwin Drive to reduce flooding caused by excessive headwater on the Godwin Drive culvert during larger storm events. This project will provide the same level of pollutant removal that currently exists (via extended detention) for the contributing watershed while maintaining the same level of detention (flood control). This concept was also selected to minimize impacts to existing trees.
