1) Stay off the roads. Let the plows do their job. View the City's plowing map.
2) Check on neighbors. Call, text or check in on elderly or homebound neighbors.
3) Sidewalks. It takes a whole community to shovel snow from sidewalks because the city simply doesn't have the resources to clear all of the sidewalks. We need your help to keep sidewalks safe by clearing snow in front of residential or business properties so that all pedestrians, including school children, the elderly and those with disabilities may walk safely.
4) Fire Hydrants. Adopt a fire hydrant and dig it out! Every second counts if there's a fire.
5) Clear snow from cars. If you have a car, please make sure you clear all the snow from atop your car before driving.
Do what you can. Take your time. Don't overexert yourself.
