Why is my water brown-looking and what is the City doing to fix it?
A sudden change in the normal flow of the water in the water main servicing your area is causing the water to be discolored. A broken water main, turning on a fire hydrant for firefighting, or turning off main valves are usually reasons why discoloration can occur. Discolored water does not pose a health threat and is free from harmful bacteria and safe for most household uses.
Is there a security deposit to connect my utilities?

How do I check for an underground water leak?
Turn off the main water valve in your house, usually located under a kitchen sink, near the washer and dryer, or in the basement. This insures that no water is entering the house. Go to your water meter, if the red triangle on the meter is spinning, water is flowing through the meter. Since water is not entering the house. We will do an adjustment once the leak is repaired, if the customer provides us with a copy of the repair receipt and the leak meets the criteria for an adjustment. For more information on the requirements for an adjustment, please call our customer service department.
How to I check for a toilet leak?
Put a few drops of food coloring in the tank of the toilet. If, within 20-30 minutes, color appears in the bowl of the toilet without flushing, you have a "silent" toilet leak. This is the homeowners responsibility to repair the leak and no provisions for adjustments are given.
