Emergencies
To report an animal-related emergency or current violation, contact the Manassas City Police Communications Center at 703-257-8000.

Impounded
If you believe your pet may have been impounded, contact the Manassas Animal Adoption Center at 703-257-2420, or the Animal Control Services Division at 703-257-8009.

The Animal Control Services Division: 

  • Maintains the health, safety, and welfare of the community
  • Achieves compliance of animal care and control ordinances
  • Assists citizens with proper tools and information for pet owners
  • Animal Control Officers are available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Animal Control Officers (ACOs) respond to investigate reports of animal:
  • Abuse
  • Neglect
  •  Sick/injured wildlife
  • Dangerous animals
  • Bites for domestic animals and wildlife
ACOs also maintain a lost and found data file, issue dog licenses year-round, and respond accordingly to wildlife complaints. All calls received are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
