Community Recycling Grant
Get a Grant for your Great Ideas!
The City of Manassas and American Disposal have teamed up to launch a recycling grant program for Homeowners Associations (HOAs) in the City of Manassas.
The City of Manassas Recycling Grant is designed to fund community-based recycling projects that reflect initiative, innovation, and teamwork to help increase recycling and reduce the amount of trash at the curb every week.
“We have many community members who come up with great ideas,” says City of Manassas Refuse and Recycling Coordinator, Monica Boehringer. “The new Recycling Grant targets HOAs that are working with their residents in meaningful and sustainable projects that will help keep their communities clean and beautiful while helping to reduce the cost of sending trash to the landfill.”
Our small grants program is open to Home Owners Associations (HOAs) within the City of Manassas applying for amounts of funding between $500 and $15,000 to try out ideas to improve recycling in their community.
Award categories:Try it – offers small amounts of funding of up to $1,000 for communities to try out ideas to increase recycling. This might mean learning more about what is needed in the area or trying a project on a small scale.
Do it – offers grants of up to $5,000 to successful Try it award recipients who feel confident enough to be able to develop their community project to the next level.
