Virtual offerings
All programs are customized to individual classroom needs and are hosted live by the Manassas Museum staff in an encrypted, password-secure meeting via Zoom.
Virtual Field Trips
Reserve a live, interactive field trip!
- Virtual Field trips are led by museum professionals trained in object-based, multi - disciplinary learning.
- Museum educators develop virtual field trips based on the needs of the class and integrate objects from the museum’s collection.
- Virtual Field Trips are developed to support skills, themes, and Virginia standards of learning.
- Teachers may make specific requests regarding program length, topics, chat, and breakout room options.
- Virtual Field Trips are tailored to meet grade-level and curricular needs and must be scheduled at least one month in advance.
- Virtual Field Trips may be arranged for Monday through Friday anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Virtual Professional Development for Teachers
K-12 educators of all disciplines are welcome to request a professional development workshop.
- Designed for teachers, Manassas Museum workshops combine historical content with innovative classroom applications.
- Learn how to use the museum's collection as a resource.
- Explore hands-on classroom-ready activities.
- All teacher professional development programs support skills, themes, and Virginia Standards of Learning.
- Teachers/Administrators may make specific requests regarding program length, topics, chat, and breakout room options.
- Participating teachers will receive certificates of completion for seat hours.
- Attendees will receive a discount at Echoes, the Manassas Museum store!
