The City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department now offers Lateral Hiring! All experienced applicants petitioning for acceptance of their prior years in VRS and/or current employment with an established full-time career fire and rescue department, within Virginia, will be evaluated based on our guidelines and will receive up to a .75 credit for each year of employment.
